I made a list so I could leave.
It's the reason I stayed.
It had a different name at first. An angrier one. A more desperate one — the kind of name that reflected exactly where I was and what I thought the list was for.
I made it to leave. I started checking things off for the same reason.
But none of the things on that list turned out to be what I thought they were for.
Somewhere in the checking off, something shifted. The list stopped being an exit plan. It became the reason I stayed. And then it became the things I do to live.
The name changed when my soul did. I started calling it my Live List.
That list is one of my anchor moments. A moment I can't stop being shaped by, whether I wanted to be or not. It's still unfolding — still part of a story I'm living, not one I've finished.
That's why I built this show. Because I know what it means to have moments that change everything. We all have more than one. This podcast is how I share mine — and how I hope to help others find their own reasons to stay. Because when we understand why people are who they are, something shifts. We don't have to agree with someone to love them. We don't have to share their experience to extend them kindness. But we do have to know their story. That's what Anchor Moments is for.
That requires something from all of us. Empathy — for others, and for ourselves. That's what Anchor Moments is for.
"I believe it's impossible not to love someone once you know their story. I built this whole show on that one sentence."
Real people. Real stories.
No one excluded.
Anchor Moments is a storytelling podcast about the experiences that made us who we are — the moments we can't stop being shaped by, whether we wanted to be or not.
The guests aren't celebrities or experts. They're the cashier, the refugee, the soccer mom, the quiet neighbor, the loud advocate, the person you'd never expect to have something profound to say — who turns out to have the most profound thing you've ever heard.
My job isn't to tell their story. It's to hold space for them to tell it themselves. In their voice. On their terms. Nothing publishes without their approval. Ever.
Every conversation is held with care. Guests set the boundaries. They review before anything publishes.
No story is too small. No person is too ordinary. Every life contains something worth hearing.
This isn't a polished media production. It's a real person asking real questions and actually listening to the answers.
Listen to the trailer.
Two minutes and seventeen seconds. That's all it takes to understand what this show is and why it exists.
Here's what I promise you.
You are in control from beginning to end. You decide what gets shared, what stays private, and whether the episode ever sees the light of day.
Nothing publishes without your explicit approval. You hear the edited episode first. Your word is final. Always.
You don't need a dramatic story. You don't need to be through it. You just need something real — and the willingness to share it.
I will never push you somewhere you don't want to go. We go at your pace. We stop when you say stop. No explanation needed.
Your story deserves
to be heard.
If something here resonated — if you've been carrying a story you've never quite known what to do with — I'd love to hear from you.
